Dental care during Christmas and New Year holiday period 2025-2026
Bee Healthy dental hub clinics are now closed for the holiday period. Our call centre is also now closed and will reopen to take your calls on 12 January 2026. Bee Healthy Dental Hubs will start to reopen from Tuesday 20 January 2026.
If your child requires an urgent dental appointment between:
- 20 December 2025 to 4 January 2026: ring 04 886 2731 or click here to find an emergency dentist* working that day.
- 5-19 January 2026: contact one of the contracted dentists listed here, or your teenager’s adolescent dental care provider if they are in Year 9 or above.
* Please note: not all dentists provide free dental care for children under 18s, you will need to check this when you ring. If the dentist is not a contracted free dental provider for children, you will be charged for the appointment. Please note that this service is not available after hours.
For facial swelling or trauma, you are advised to go to your local hospital emergency department.
From 20th January 2026, our Bee Healthy Regional Dental clinics in the Wellington Region will be open for appointments for eligible children up to year 8 on the days specified below.
